MufasaLoading county cover

Your cargo, protected. From factory floor to your front door.
Mufasa Insurance Agencies arranges marine & goods in transit across Mombasa County - Mombasa, Nyali, Bamburi, Likoni and every town in between. Mombasa is Kenya's port and the entry point for most of the country's imports, which makes it the centre of the marine and cargo insurance market. With port and cargo traffic, manufacturing and tourism driving the local economy, the cover that makes sense here is specific to Mombasa. We are IRA-licensed, we place with Kenya's major underwriters, and quotes come back the same working day over WhatsApp.
Why Mombasa Is Different
Mombasa handles the cargo that supplies the rest of the country. We write single-shipment cover for one-off imports and open cover for regular importers, on Institute Cargo Clauses A, B or C, warehouse to warehouse.
Kenyan motor cover stops at the border, and so does an inland transit policy that was not written to the final destination. Tell us where the goods actually end up and we will make sure the wording reaches it - plus a COMESA Yellow Card if your own vehicle crosses.
Kenyan law requires imported cargo to be insured with a locally licensed insurer, and clearing agents will ask for the certificate. Arranging it before the vessel sails is cheaper and safer than doing it under pressure at the last minute.

Questions
Send us a WhatsApp message or call +254 117 435 865 with the basic details of what you need covered. We come back with quotes from several underwriters the same working day, you pick one, pay by M-Pesa or bank transfer, and we issue the documents. Nothing requires you to travel to Nairobi.
We are based in Runda, Nairobi and serve Mombasa County remotely, which is how most insurance in Kenya is now arranged. Quotes, payment and document issue all happen by phone, WhatsApp and email. When there is a claim, assessors are appointed locally in Mombasa.
Yes, this is one of our core Coast products. We write single-shipment policies for one-off imports and open cover for regular importers, on Institute Cargo Clauses A, B or C. Cover can run warehouse-to-warehouse, so your goods stay insured on the road to Nairobi, not just at sea.
Same day in most cases. Motor certificates, travel certificates and medical cover notes are issued electronically as soon as payment reflects, so you are covered before the documents reach your inbox.
Regular importers can take out an Open Cover policy that automatically covers all shipments under agreed terms, much more convenient than issuing a new policy per shipment.
ICC A is the broadest cover (all risks). ICC B covers specific perils like fire, collision, and flooding. ICC C is the most restricted, covering only major casualties. We recommend ICC A for most shipments.
Standard marine policies cover from the supplier's warehouse to your warehouse, including the inland leg. Confirm the specific terms with us.
Original bill of lading or airway bill, commercial invoice, packing list, survey report, and your insurance certificate. Our claims team guides you through the process.
Free quotes from several underwriters, back the same working day. Pay by M-Pesa and your documents are issued electronically.
