Is personal accident different from life insurance?
Yes. Life insurance covers death from any cause (illness or accident). Personal accident only covers death or disability caused specifically by an accident, it's more affordable but narrower in scope.
Am I covered if I'm injured at work?
Yes. Personal accident covers you anywhere, at work, home, or on the road. Note that WIBA (for employers) separately covers employees for workplace injuries.
Does it cover sport injuries?
Standard policies exclude hazardous sports like racing, mountaineering, and contact sports. A sports rider can be added. Everyday recreational activities are generally covered.
Can I get cover for my entire family?
Yes. Family personal accident plans cover the principal member, spouse, and up to 4 children on a single premium.
